The upcoming production of Spamilton will be postponed until a to be determined date after the new year.

The original agreement between the producers of Spamilton and Hamilton stipulated that Spamilton could not be produced in a city where Hamilton had not yet been produced. With the support of the author of Spamilton, MVT was able to secure the performance rights for Spamilton in Honolulu. At the time these rights were secured,Hamilton was not yet scheduled to play in Hawaii, however that has now changed.Hamilton will now play at the Blaisdell Concert Hall in December. In accordance with the original producer’s agreement, and because we believe the MVT audience experience will be greatly enhanced after having the opportunity to attend a live performance of Hamilton, we have made the artistic decision to produce the Hawaii premiere ofSpamilton in 2023 following the conclusion of the run of Hamilton at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Those who are currently holding tickets for Spamilton may:

  • receive a refund or

  • transfer their ticket to a performance of MVT’s production of Lisa Matsumoto’sOnce Upon One Time at the Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center.

Ticket arrangements may be made by calling the MVT box office at 808-988-6131.
