SUSAN HANES | "I’ve been currently active with ceramics at Hawai‘i Potters’ Guild for about four years. I’ve always loved the ocean so I used it as an inspiration for my Raku Burnt Coral Series. Raku firing helps bring out the beautiful rainbow colors and textures which bring the pieces to life." -Susan Hanes
DIANE KW | After a long career in medicine, Diane KW decided to use the "other side of the brain" and began to carve ceramic pieces in collaboration with a number of ceramic artists. These collaborations can be seen in museums and in private and public collections including the Honolulu Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Cape Ann Museum. Her other work utilizing ceramic shards or found objects are in the collections of the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Art (USA), the Florida Holocaust Museum (USA), the Groninger Museum (NL), the Nanchong University Museum of Ceramics (CH) and the Honolulu Museum of Art (USA). CHRISTOPHER EDWARDS | Christopher Edwards makes sculptures inspired by the algorithmic patterns and geometry of nature. His work is in collections of the Honolulu Museum of Art, the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Luciano Benetton Collection, as well as national and international private collectors. His commissioned work can be found at the Halekulani Hotel Waikīkī, Halepuna Hotel Waikīkī, Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel, as well as several hotels on the neighbor islands. He lives in Honolulu, HI. JILL MORTON | After decades of work as a painter and later as a color consultant for branding and product design, Jill returned to pottery to soothe her soul. She discovered a new world of colors in the high fire gas reduction kiln. Perhaps this is where colors are born. (Photo: Eye of the Lava)

DIANE KW | Small scale and large scale permanent installations using shipwreck shards and ceramic transfers of historic documents have been a recent endeavor of Diane KW. She is currently working on a 132-ft long outdoor installation of ceramic shards and the" Lost At Sea" database maintained by the City of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Mixed Media
LAURIE TANOURA | Laurie places 2 inch fabric squares on a fusible grid and arranges them to create a picture. The squares are then ironed onto the grid then sewn diagonally in one direction, then the other. (Photo: Anturium Sunrise)

LYNDA HESS | Lynda Hess creates art referencing contemporary issues. Her recent installation at HoMA, 1,000 Flowers, focused on violence against women. Corona My Dreams, pictured, is an interactive mixed media piece born from the lockdown.
AMY FULLER | "One day, I went to Sherwood beach and noticed all of the plastics. I went back and collected the plastic from the beach to clean the area. With the plastic I collected, I created this piece of artwork from micro plastics I gathered from the beach." - Amy Fuller

MARK KADOTA | Mark Kadota is a self-taught multi-media artist, working professionally since 1970. He has taught art sporadically over his career at the de Young Museum Art School in San Francisco, California and the Honolulu Academy of Arts in Hawaii. He has exhibited at the Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco, California. Here in Hawai‘i, his exhibitions include the Hawai‘i State Museum, the Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, the Honolulu Academy of Arts, the Honolulu Museum, and the Bishop Museum in Hawai‘i. In the Netherlands he has exhibited at Museum van Bommel van Dam in Venlo, the Thorn Museum in Netherlands, the Den Bosch Museum, and the Gouveneur van de Provinci in Limburg. Internationally he has exhibited at the Museum Het Toreke, Tienen, Belgium, Moscow State Darwin Museum, Moscow Russia, Museum of Art in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne, Germany. His artwork has been included in a number of other global exhibits.
JUDD BOLOKER | Judd lives and works in Honolulu. His prints blend traditional colored pencil studies with modern digital drawing techniques. Judd's Lei print series depicts Haku sourced locally and abroad, while his Sea Life works explore the impact of plastics on our ocean habitat. ("Ginger and Peony Haku - Print - 11 x 14. © Boloker")

LAUREN OKANO | "New York City was the place that sparked the art in me. Japan refined it. Hawai‘i defined it. My work in oil, acrylic and sumi ink, explore dynamic color combinations and gesture in a celebration of Eastern and Western influences." –Lauren Okano (“Infinity” Oil on canvas 36 x 36”)
GERALD (JERRY) MAYFIELD, MD | Jerry's watercolor paintings have been exhibited in multiple juried exhibits of the Hawai‘i Watercolor Society. Watercolors, oils, and drawings have been exhibited at the Academy Art Center at Linekona, ‘Iolani Gallery at Windward Community College and the Louis Pohl Gallery.
FRANK OLIVA | Frank incorporates an instinctive gift for color with aboriginal designs and patterns. Hundreds of bursting color “dots” bubble on the surface, and yet the effect evokes peace and a harmony attuned with nature.
SETH LITOV | "I’m an artist of many mediums and I like for my work to speak for itself most of the time. I create for myself and for the world to be able to relate to what I have to say through my images." –Seth
PAULA RATH | Paula began painting in 1999 when she took a watercolor class in Venice, Italy, with George Woollard. She has studied with Woollard, Darius Homay, Roger Whitlock, Alan Leitner and Timothy Ojile. She works mainly in acrylic, textiles and mixed media. Her work has been featured in numerous shows in Honolulu and South Korea.

FLORANI CAMACHO | Florani is a young adult artist in O‘ahu who embraces the beauty and struggles of womanhood through the manifestation of empathy and vulnerability in her paintings. She is an emerging artist who hopes to create a safe space for those that needs shelter and to bring light to those who are in the dark.
WARREN STENBERG | "I am an impressionist/colorist with studio in Kailua, O‘ahu. Have work in several Honolulu galleries and do commissions. Studied at U of H and at Honolulu Museum Art School. Work is in collections worldwide." –Warren Stenberg (“Awakening”, Oil on 36”x24” canvas)

NÊNA EVANS | Nêna Evans is a Moloka‘i artist who enjoys sharing her unique perspectives by creating paintings with layers, textures, and vivid backgrounds. She also makes complex, abstract ceramic sculptures in raku and stoneware. Nêna has exhibited her creations in multiple juried art shows.
RACHEL "SUSIE" SOLIS | Susie is passionate about capturing flowing energy, the essence of empowerment and a feeling of effortless sensuality in her work. Vibrant colors and bold figures come together to take the viewer on a surreal journey through being and human intimacy. She is based on the island of O‘ahu where she lives with her wife and dogs, Rocky and Peanut. ("Lady Ganesha")
THOMAS DEIR | Kailua artist Thomas Deir thrives on positivity. Although the 50 year Maunawili native specializes in tile murals for kitchens, baths and entryways, Thomas is focusing more on his canvas oil paintings, which depict mostly Kailua scenes and other creative concepts.

XINYI ZHANG | Xinyi Zhang is an artist working primarily in acrylics, charcoal, and pastels. Her paintings and drawings are often inspired by elements and processes in nature and reflect spiritual themes of the collective and personal unconscious. ("Freedom and Expansion" 40"x30" canvas - The magical aspect of this painting is that it is a mandala. A mandala represents a spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers, and each orientation becomes a different expression of the same energy. Here, the dissolution of each inner block in light leads to the energy of Freedom and Expansion.)
ESPERANCE RAKOTONIRINA | Esperance Rakotonirina grew up on the island of Madagascar and came to Hawaii in 2010. His attention to detail is remarkable he has a very personal and unique style of painting , a true gift. The use of vibrant color, the desire for detail, his love of nature. His paintings come from what inspires him most (Ho'omaluhia Garden and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park) — Clearly, he is “into” his nature and Wildlife paintings.
JOHN KIRBY | "My name is John Kirby and I am a local painter born and raised on Oahu. I've always been drawing since a young age. After high school I attended Windward Community College in Kaneohe where I gained more formal training and education of the rich history of painting. From there I moved to Portland, OR where I received a BFA in Drawing and Painting. I moved back to Oahu in 2018 where I have continued to create art and have had two solo shows at local gallery/bar in downtown Honolulu while also participating in several group shows across the island. I combine various materials such as acrylic paint, charcoal, ink, watercolor, and oil paint to create visual representations of mortality and the relationship of life and death. A driving force that fuels my work is a fascination with the natural world and a striving to come to terms with and understand mortality and ultimately life itself."
RYAN COVERT | Ryan grew up on the North Shore of Oahu. His art is captivating with vibrant colors and captures the essence of Hawaii’s– ocean, beaches, culture and environment. Global materials are often interwoven into the canvas creating a multi-media perspective. ("Tsunami")

DAVID MURPHEY | David has been a commercial photographer in Hawai‘i for over 25 years. His current personal project, Volcanoes is a documentation of the ongoing eruption of Kīlauea at Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.
CHARLEY MYERS | "To be a photographer, you have to love looking at the world; people, nature, events. I love to look. I have come full circle, from film to digital and back. I make portraits, landscapes, still life images with a twist."
GWENYTH DEITZ | Gwenyth Deitz is a documentary and lifestyle photographer based in Hawai‘i. Originally from Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C., she currently resides on the island of O‘ahu. Being an avid traveler, Gwen documents her explorations as she experiences new destinations. Gwen aims to bring awareness to issues that are dear to her heart; her intent is to promote positivity, tolerance, and respect for our shared planet and humanity.
ALYSSA VALCOURT | Alyssa creates gifts with nature photographs she captures in Hawai‘i and abroad. She makes jewelry, matted prints, calendars, greeting cards, and more. From backyard birds to shooting stars, she delights in sharing fleeting moments of awe.
RAYMOND ENRIQUEZ | Raymond Enriquez is an emerging artist from Honolulu. He graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2018 with a BFA in Photography and specializes in nature photography. Raymond creates imagery with hopes to encourage preservation, self-awareness, and self-healing.
BRITTANY ANTENORCRUZ | "My name is Brittany Antenorcruz and I was born and raised in O‘ahu."
TERRANCE LUM | Terrance is a Hawai‘i-based graphic designer who has been creating inspired designs for Hawai‘i and Mainland businesses for over 25 years. In addition to graphic design, he enjoys showcasing the beauty of the islands through his nature photography.
PHIL UHL | For over 50 years, Hawai‘i multimedia artist, Phil Uhl, has been creating unique works of art for his clients and collectors. Phil's paintings, original prints, photographs, and video programs have been exhibited in major exhibitions, including events at the Honolulu Museum of Art, The Hawai‘i State Art Museum, Hawai‘i Maritime Museum, The Museum of fine arts in Boston, Mystic Seaport Maritime Museum, and the National History Museum at the Smithsonian. His work can be found in numerous public and private collections including the permanent collections of the State of Hawai‘i, the City and County of Honolulu, and the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

ANITA MERCADO | "I am an amateur photographer and enjoy photographing native Hawaiian birds and landscapes."
DEBRA CASEY | Debra Casey was born in Hollywood, CA moved to Maui in 1996 then over to O‘ahu in 2013. This vegan, tattooed, body piercer learned to surf at 33 (she still shortboards!) then picked up a camera at 45. She is self-taught and her life experience shows in her work. While technical perfection is nice it’s not the priority, evoking an emotional response is. The items, scenes and narratives are organic not staged. Most are happy discoveries, some have been treasure hunts and many have an untold story.
Printmaking
STEVEN KEAN | Steven Kean is an artist based on O‘ahu working primarily in the woodcut method of relief printmaking. Inspired by the sea, his work explores the dichotomy of stillness versus movement and a symbiotic relationship with Mother Ocean. (Photo: Le'ahi Lane)
BRENNAN SIMCOCK | Brennan uses island themes in an abstract way with monoprint techniques like Intaglio and Linocut. Monoprinting is a process in which a drawing or painting on a flat, unworked printing plate or other surface is transferred using pressure to a sheet of paper. The technique offers a wonderful and expressive opportunity to explore new themes, ideas, styles and spontaneous improvisation. Unlike traditional printmaking, each monoprint is unique. Using a variety of different inks, chine-collé papers and found objects, an artist can create fun and exciting work. Exhibitions of his prints and awards include: 2014 Gallery at the Pali, 2015 Honolulu Printmakers Honblue Purchase Award, 2016 and 2019 Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Recognition Awards, 2017 Honolulu Printmakers Honblue Purchase Award, 2017 and 2018 Association of Hawai‘i Artists Awards and the Honolulu Printmakers 2021 Award for Excellence in Memory of Hans Loffel. MICHELLE SCHWENGEL-REGALA | A scientist by training and an artist by nature, Michelle creates 2D and 3D mixed-media artworks telling natural history stories about ecosystems spanning Hawai‘i and Antarctica. I have been creative my entire life, always inspired by nature with a critical eye on the things happening around me. As a Swiss/Italian/American living and working for 30 years in Hawai‘i, I 'move through the dance of life,' reflecting on the political, cultural, and environmental forces. I am interested in giving a voice to vulnerable populations through my art. People, nature, meditation, and dancing are what inspire me." –Domenica Sattler
