(All supplies and tools provided) Students will learn the art of making exquisite three-drawer gift boxes using step-by-step traditional Japanese origami techniques. Cathy Gleason learned how to make these boxes in one of many workshops provided by the owner of a Kaimuki paper-crafting store that closed many years ago. When the owners would return from a trip to Japan, workshops would immediately be scheduled so they could share with customers new and exciting projects. One of these workshops was the creation of these origami boxes. In their spirit of aloha, Gleason offers this workshop. Depending on each student's capabilities, some may take longer than 2 hours, but will be given enough knowledge and have enough of their project completed that they can finish it on their own.
