OUIJA: The Listening Animal Partnering workshops In-person with Eddie Oroyan and Jessica Enes

  • Still & Moving Center 1024 Queen Street Honolulu, HI, 96814 United States (map)

In the world of art, in the field of dance, we find it vital to be uncompromising in our proposals. Art should push boundaries and ushers people out of comfort.

Pulling from the idea of the ideomotor phenomenon that is considered the ‘invisible player’ in an Ouija board game, our curiosity dives into how to train at the subconscious level, the level where we ‘do’ without thinking.

In this partnering class we emphasize hyper listening and empathic moving, we question what it means to join a movement journey and to explore manipulation in solidarity. The class is designed and modified for all movers, beginning to advanced.
