For Father’s day, and in fond remembrance of Kumu Malia’s dear father, Dave Manu Bird, let’s holoholo (take a little trip) and hula with Kumu Mālia during this unique virtual Father’s Day event! Let’s go on a virtual huaka’i (journey) to visit local spots on island that are featured in our hula dances.

As she lands in each place, we can dance together with Kumu Mālia in beautiful locations, ranging from Mānoa to Haleʻiwa! Kumu Malia will make lots of stops to talk story about the setting and inspiration behind the music and choreography, then give us the opportunity to hula with her, looking out on the scenery she’s seeing. Thanks to the magic of Zoom and videography, we’ll dance all over the island in just one hour. Miraculous!
