An Art Exhibit of designed school backpacks created by young adults from RYSE Hawaii and Moanalua High School students.
This art collaboration presents youth homeless in Hawaii from the students’ point of views and from their personal experiences and realities. The two distinct groups of students - from RYSE and from Moanalua High School - use quilting, applique and embroidery to design the school backpacks. They are guided by “Nomadic Artist” and teacher Fatiha Kheddaoui Curran on their artistic journey.
