Join Ben and Gus, two English blokes, as they pass the time waiting to do a job. The setting is a small room with two beds, an unreliable appliance, and poor plumbing. The one-act play is a sinister and sometimes comical display of monotony and mayhem. Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter signaled the arrival in England of an extraordinary, insightful playwright. Pinter would go on to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2005.
