Na Pupu O Kahoʻolawe by Linda Kāne

At the Artists of Hawaii Biennial 2024, Linda Kāne was awarded the Creative Genius Award for her charcoal drawing, Na Pupu Kahoʻolawe. Presented by The Creative City, the award included a $5,000 cash prize. Linda’s work has also been featured at HoMA and the Honolulu Museum of Art.

The November 1 – December 21 exhibition at the Downtown Art Center in Chinatown, features 356 pieces (out of 2,000 submissions) in a variety of media. Showcasing the best of Hawaii’s contemporary art, the guest juror for the 2024 exhibition was Tom Klobe, University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Art Department professor emeritus and founding director of the University of Hawai‘i Art Gallery.
