Aupuni Space is an artist-run gallery and venue located in the Kakaʻako neighborhood.
It provides space for community-based exhibitions and programming that feature Kanaka ‘Ōiwi and Hawaiʻi-based artists. Aupuni Space is the only venue that provides a global contemporary art lens on Hawaiʻi as well as a physical gathering space for locally engaged, experimental and critical voices.
The history of Aupuni, as a concept, dates back to the Aupuni Artwall, located on the corner of Aupuni and School streets, the original location of Native Books Hawaiʻi.
Aupuni Space is currently open to the public during these hours:
Wednesday 2–6pm | Friday 2–6pm. | Saturday 11–3pm
