This year’s annual AHA2024 Exhibition is scheduled for March 9-May 10 with the opening reception on Thursday, March 14.

The upcoming “Our Sea of Islands Exhibit” will be hosted at Capitol Modern. Submissions will be accepted via CaFÉ through November 30th at 11:59 Mountain Time. Application requirements and eligibility criteria can also be found on CaFÉ.

Gold Key winning artworks will be displayed at Capitol Modern, February 24 – March 23, 2024.

For Hawaiʻi students grades 7-12, ages 13 and up

SFCA is Hawaiʻi regional affiliate for the Scholastic Art Awards competition.

The 2024 exhibit, displaying original Gold Key award-winning artwork from the competition, will be open at Capitol Modern (Hawaiʻi State Art Museum), February 24 – March 23, 2024.

SFCA will cover all entry costs associated with the Scholastic competition for all Hawaiʻi public and public charter school students for the 2023-2024 school year. Private school and home school students will have entry fees of $10 for each individual submission and $30 for each senior portfolio submission.

Interested Hawai‘i artists may apply to have their artwork featured at the ASB Loʻi Gallery. Selected artwork will be displayed for four months. Selected artists will be paid $500 at the end of the showing and must agree to donate 20% of any proceeds from the sale of their artwork to one of our nonprofit Kahiau partners, which include Child & Family Service, Kapi'olani Health Foundation, Kupu, Partners in Development Foundation and United Way. Additional terms will be provided to selected artists.
ASB will host a gallery opening and artists will be asked to invite their contacts and help promote the event on social media and through their various networks.

CRITERIA:

Lo‘i Gallery artwork must be:

1. Original work, owned and created by the artist

2. Available for sale

3. Mountable on drywall plaster, without plywood backing

4. Approved by American Savings Bank

Lo‘i Gallery artwork must not be:

1. Offensive or contain nudity, violence or explicit language

2. Discriminatory against race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation or disability

3. Commissioned to a third party
