Kalani Peʻa, renowned for his captivating voice and charismatic stage presence, will be joined by a stellar lineup of award-winning guests, including Kumu Hula Olana Ai, Natalie Ai Kamauʻu, Kumu Hula Shelsea Ai, Hālau Lilia Makanoe, and Starr Kalāhiki. The evening will be beautifully hosted by Mele Apana.

Noah Newton's musical journey commenced at the age of 11 when he joined the prestigious Philadelphia Boys Choir. His passion and dedication for music extended throughout high school and led him to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. During his time in New York, Noah became a well known new artist, culminating in his recognition as "Best Young Artist" by Lincoln Center in 2016. Recently, he and his family embraced a new chapter in Hawaii, where Noah now leads multiple bands in Honolulu, continuing to share his passion for music with the world.

The Makaha Sons have received numerous proclamations and awards both in Hawai’i and in the continental U.S. for their continuous and undying efforts in perpetuating the Hawaiian culture through their music. Their peers in music have also acknowledged their efforts by awarding them countless “Na Hoku Hanohano Awards” for their timeless recordings and steadfast commitment to the music of Hawai‘i. They have released 22 CD’s, thus far.

Public Workers' Electric Light Parade:

• The parade travels on King Street, from River Street to Kawaiahao Street.

• Step-off is at approximately 6 PM and the first unit arrives at Honolulu Hale approximately 6:30 PM

In 2015 Van Tass and Ten were enthusiastically chosen as the “World Champions of Mentalism,” a prize that hasn't been awarded in 30 years. In April 2017 the Academy of Magical Arts and The Magic Castle Hollywood awarded Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass "Stage Magicians of the Year" for their extraordinary art. In 2020 they received the Award “Mandrakes d’Or“ in Paris, France.

This year's theme of "A Westside Wonderland" will feature decorations inspired by historic, cultural, and recreational aspects of our Leeward communities, from Waipahū to Kaʻena Point, to showcase pride in the westside! All are invited to come and experience these free City events and decorations. Come take a walk in the country this holiday season and enjoy "A Westside Wonderland."         

Kapolei City Lights is held at Kapolei Hale, at 1000 Ulu'ōhia Street.  The luminous decorations of Kapolei City Lights 2023 will be open to the public from the evening of Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 until Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
